Here's Kim Fowley's 1969 lp "Good Clean Fun" which was requested awhile ago. What can I say about Kim that hasn't been said, and said a lot better that I could say. Check into the bio of this guy, truly amazing figure in the history of music.

Bernice Ross and Lor Crane had enjoyed some mid-1960s successes as songwriters (Danny White's "White On White") and as producers. Crane produced several of Chad and Jeremy's hit singles and albums. 1968 saw the pair dipping their creative toes into psych via the studio project The Astral Projection. Musically "The Astral Scene" is an oddity falling somewhere between Curt Boetcher-styled sunshine pop, Association-styled top-40 and Animated Egg styled exploito.

The world of oz (British psychedelia)1969 UK.

The sound quality is most impressive, however, and given the sheer rarity of the original LP, the chances of anyone having the latter already lying around to be heard are next to non-existent — so this CD ends up being essential listening for almost anyone fascinated by the commercial side of British psychedelia.

The second album by Them a Northern Irish band whose lead singer and song-writer was Van Morrison. The album included three of producer Tommy Scott's original compositions. Two of the original Van Morrison songs included on the album, "My Lonely Sad Eyes" and "Hey Girl" are said to be a precursor to the poetic musings of Astral Weeks, Morrison's seminal 1968 album. "My Lonely Sad Eyes" begins with the words, "Fill me my cup, and I'll drink your sparkling wine/Pretend that everything is fine, 'til I see your sad eyes." The title implies that the sad eyes belong to the singer but the lyrics address the singer's love interest. "Hey Girl" has flutes and a pastoral feel to it and in Brian Hinton's opinion it is a "dry run for 'Cyprus Avenue"' from Astral Weeks. "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue" is considered by Clinton Heylin to be — " that genuine rarity, a Dylan cover to match the original."
